Cobb Police Crime Report for Mableton, Aug. 26- Sept. 1
A weekly report of crime incidents reported by the Cobb Police Department
At the last Cobb Police Police Email Notification System (PENS) meeting for Precinct 2, Detective Sgt. Jorge Mestre said the South Cobb precinct, which is the busiest in the county, has answered 9,000 service calls since January.
Mestre also showed that the residential burglary is the top theft crime affecting South Cobb, with approximately 100 burglaries occurring each month. Now, that number is about 80.
Here are the crime incidents that have occurred in Mableton this week, according to the Cobb Police Department.
Aug. 26
- Burglary attempt, attempted forced entry at 222 Sweetwater Circle
- Arrest of a wanted person at 1707 Virginia Circle
- Theft, gas drive-off from self-service station at Marathon at 6430 Mableton Parkway
Aug. 27
- Arrest of a wanted person at 7140 Mableton Parkway
- Burglary, forced entry of a nonresidence at 185 Veterans Memorial Highway
- Theft by taking at 6434 Sweetbriar Drive
Aug. 28
- Entering auto at 855 Veterans Memorial Highway
Aug. 29
- Theft of truck/van/bus at 1450 Veterans Memorial Highway
- Burglary, forced entry of residence at 1276 Clay Road
- Theft by taking at 6096 Blackhawk Trail
Aug. 30
- Shoplifting more than $300 at CVS Pharmacy at 5846 Mableton Parkway
