14-year-old Cyclist Hit by 82-Year-Old Driver in Austell
The 14-year-old boy is seriously injured and being treated at a local hospital.
A 14-year-old boy attempting to cross Clay Road at around 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday was struck by an Sara Grogan, 82 of Mableton, who was driving a grey 2005 Chevrolet Malibu.
Grogan was driving eastbound on Clay, approaching a green traffic signal at the Austell Road intersection, Cobb police investigators stated.
Grogan was not injured. The 14-year-old boy was seriously injured and was transported to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston.
